Coalition of Care

With 143 million orphans in the world, 500,000 children in the U.S. foster care system, and 30,000 children dying from hunger daily, only the Church is large enough to handle the problem.

Nothing else comes close to the power of the Church:

• The Church has the largest army of volunteers worldwide.
• The Church speaks more languages than the United Nations
• The Church has the Biblical mandate to address these needs

The Coalition of Care (www.coalitionofcare.org)  initiative is intended to align churches into agreement that together we can improve the lives of children locally and globally.

The local expression of the Coalition of Care is working with Job and Family Services to establish homes in our community for foster children while encouraging more families to respond to the call of adoption.

If you would like more information about joining this collaborative effort, please contact Coalition@achildshopeintl.org.

Right now, more than 3,000 legal orphans in Ohio foster care are waiting for adoptive families. Ohio has over 14,000 churches, and God has given clear commands for Christians to take care of His orphan children.

So if the command is clear and the need is apparent, why are these kids still waiting?
