Zambia is one of the African countries hardest hit by HIV/AIDS. There are over 1 million orphans today and that number is growing. About 70 percent of the population earns less than $1 per day, so families, communities and schools are overstretched in their efforts to care for children. Many households are now headed by children as young as 11 who are forced to foregoe the education they need to prepare for a harsh economic environment as they struggle to care for their younger siblings. These children are now without families, food and a future. We have been called upon to help and we will feed the orphans of Africa!

Since Kids Against Hunger started in the greater Cincinnati area, over 20,000 volunteers have served at the "Factory" making a difference in the lives of hungry children. Guests at the "Factory" have produced over 7 million meals since we started in July 2008 and each of them has helped us feed a hungry child for just 25ยข a day. The Kids Against Hunger "Factory" was designed as a family friendly program that allows people of all ages to serve together in a safe and meaningful way.
A new book has been published on adoption, foster care, orphan care and helping vulnerable children. The reviews have been exciting and encouraging. A Child's Hope International and the Kids Against Hunger "Factory" received great news! Our humble operation was approved by ECFA (the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) , the leading accreditation agency for Christian non-profits and churches. We were also approved for membership with the Christian Alliance for Orphans. Now that is exciting news!
These memberships represent our strong and ongoing commitment to transparency, integrity, and good governance. One of the founding principles behind A Child's Hope International was a focused and purpose driven organization dedicated to life saving work and open-book financial integrity. Being validated by ECFA and the Christian Alliance for Orphans is a rewarding step in demonstrating that commitment.
